What is Volbella?
Volbella is a product that belongs to the Juvederm family of injectables. It is made from hyaluronic acid which is a compound found in the body. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a natural filler that is present in the skin. It keeps our skin taut and plump, which gives us a youthful appearance. However, as we begin to age, our bodies can’t produce hyaluronic acid as quickly, leading to volume loss. However, by creating the synthetic hyaluronic acid injectable Volbella, we can combat the volume loss and wrinkle formation. This product is most commonly used in the lips and mouth area.
How does it work?
Volbella works using its patented Vycross technology. This technology creates a chain of cross-linking HA chains made with a mix of high and low weight molecular technology. The cross-linking chains help to hold the moisture at the site. However, because of the innovative HA technology, it helps to control how much moisture it uses which reduces the swelling, resulting in less recovery time after treatment.
Another benefit to using Volbella is that it is a smooth and malleable product, leading to very natural results.
What areas does Volbella treat?
The most common areas to use Volbella are:
- Lips
- Corners of the mouth
- Smoker’s lines
- Marionette lines
Used in these areas, Volbella can add subtle volume to lips and help soften the appearance of vertical lines around the lip area.
